Provides equal opportunities for Children and Youth who are disadvantaged

In India, majority of rural school children are deprived of quality education due to various factors. Keeping those challenges in mind, the journey of Akanksha embarked with a group of friends who were motivated by the famous quote- "Knowledge never decreases by being shared " and therefore decided to share the knowledge amongst the needy students. Through Interactive Science sessions, counseling, and motivational talks by eminent personalities to the Rural Government school students, impACT-30 leadership tasks in 9 districts of Karnataka, various skill enhancement programs for youth, connecting 17,000+ youth/ students, opening up a Covid Help Centre during the pandemic, Akanksha is standing out of the crowd by finding true happiness coming from the effort of making others happy.

"EMPOWERING FUTURES : CAREER PROSPECTUS WORKSHOP FOR RURAL PARENTS"

Team ACT launched "Empowering Futures," a new initiative aimed at Kannada medium schools in Dakshina Kannada with a successful workshop addressing rural parents' concerns about their children's career prospects. Today, at Vivekananda Kannada Medium School in Puttur, the team conducted a session where Dr. Shreesha Bhat provided valuable career guidance to parents and students. Additionally, Dr. Ravichandra S. Karkal from Yenepoya Speciality Hospital shared insights on children's mental health, enhancing the workshop's impact. The event saw enthusiastic participation from parents who expressed gratitude for the informative session. Team ACT looks forward to continuing to support and empower rural communities through such initiatives.

SUMMER CAMP 2024

The transformative Summer Camp 2k24, organized by Akanksha Charitable Trust in collaboration with Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology and TCS, concluded recently. This immersive camp was dedicated to nurturing a global mindset and promoting local action towards Sustainable Development Goals. Through innovative workshops, engaging activities, and insightful discussions, participants were empowered to understand and address global challenges while making a significant local impact. The camp emphasized fostering critical thinking, creativity, and leadership skills essential for shaping future leaders committed to sustainable practices. Over 25 students benefited from 100 hours of hands-on learning across various concepts during the camp.

Empower through Skill Edge.

From May 13 to 18, Team ACT organized a week-long Skill Edge Workshop at Ambika Mahavidyalaya Puttur, involving 42 enthusiastic students. The culmination of the program featured engaging mock interviews and dynamic hackathon presentations on the final day. The workshop garnered overwhelmingly positive responses from participants, highlighting the effectiveness of the activities and the dedication of Team ACT in enhancing student skills. This initiative not only provided practical learning opportunities but also fostered a supportive environment for personal and professional development. Team ACT expresses gratitude to all participants and volunteers for their invaluable contributions to this enriching experience.

SKY WATCH PROGRAMME AT MANDEKOLU GPL (DK)

Team ACT under the programme of Granth mitra conducted Sky Watch Programme for the people of Mandekolu Gram Panchyath. Event took place at Mandekolu Gram Panchyath library. Dr.A P Radhakrishna sir guided students for sky watch.

Career Counseling Sessions

Team ACT in collaboration with several colleges, successfully conducted a series of career counseling sessions aimed at providing guidance and support to students as they navigate the critical phase of choosing their career paths. Each session was led by ACT members who have a deep understanding of various industries and career opportunities. By offering personalized guidance, promoting self-awareness, and providing insights into diverse career options, these sessions empower students to shape their professional journeys more effectively. Moreover, these efforts reflect positively on our organization, showcasing our commitment to nurturing young talents and contributing to their future success.

National Youth Conference

It is a national level conference, where we focus on Sustainable Development Goals adopted by United Nations for a prosperous future. In this event participants engage with like minded people, explore new ideas through group discussion and find solution to various problems of the world. They get opportunity to interact with young change makers of the country and representatives of UNO

Belaku

Learning becomes more meaningful when children experience what they have been studying. Practical skills in Physics and Chemistry are enhanced through small experimental set-ups. Biology experiments help explore and learn more about the living world. The sessions are made more efficient by dividing the students into groups while demonstrating the experiments. The children also get a chance to explore and enhance scientific thinking.

Grantha Mithra

The Grantha Mithra, which started in collaboration with the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of the Government of Karnataka, this program aims to provide mentoring and skill-based activities to students in nearby panchayats through their respective libraries. It creates a learning environment that addresses various aspects of personal and professional development. The project encompasses a wide range of activities designed to enhance various skills and abilities, promote bonding, and provide guidance for individual career growth.
